For over 30 years now, Dusty Moats has been out there doin’ what he was built to do — playin’ country music loud, proud, and straight from the soul.

It all kicked off back in the 90s, grindin’ it out in Texas honky-tonks, smoky dance halls, and anywhere they’d clear a corner for a band and plug in a neon beer sign. Since then, that road’s stretched a whole lot farther — across the country and across the pond — with tours throughout the UK and Ireland as Dusty continues spreadin’ his music one stage at a time.

Along the way, Dusty’s shared bills and backstage hallways with a lineup most folks only see on festival posters — Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Gary Allan, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Montgomery Gentry, Joe Diffie, Trace Adkins, Tracy Byrd, Mark Chesnutt, Tanya Tucker, STYX, Def Leppard, Journey, Steve Miller Band, B.B. King, Stoney LaRue, Pat Green, Wade Bowen, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Randy Rogers Band, Casey Donahew, Deryl Dodd and plenty more.

He and his band even stepped into the headline slot at Billy Bob’s Texas in place of legend Chris LeDoux while he was battling illness — a moment of both honor and responsibility that still stands tall in Dusty’s career memories. He’s played festivals across the country as both supporting act and featured performer, and has taken the stage at historic Gruene Hall — solo and alongside his Fender Bender partners, the Squeezebox Bandits. Every show, every handshake, every mile has added another layer to the story he’s still writin’.

Music was never optional. It was in his blood from day one. Influenced early by his mother’s work alongside respected country and pop artists, Dusty grew up around songs, studios, and the kind of real music conversations that shape how you hear a lyric and feel a melody. That foundation shows up every time he hits a stage — whether it’s stripped-down acoustic or full band with amps hummin’.  And make no mistake — Dusty Moats shows ain’t sit-down affairs. They’re high-energy, boots-on-the-floor nights packed with singalongs, dancin’, throwback favorites, and originals that feel like they’ve been part of your life for years. 

The work has paid off too. Two No. 1 singles — Honky Tonk Ways and E — plus multiple Top 40 releases across Texas, national, and international radio.

In 2024, he teamed up with the Squeezebox Bandits on Fender Bender from the Under The Neon EP — a track that turned heads worldwide with its tribute to Hispanic country legend Freddy Fender. Then the momentum really started rollin’. His current single BAYOU continues climbin’ charts in Texas, stateside, and overseas. And the title track Under The Neon, written by Brad Russell and Kyle Fambro, went on to earn Song of the Year from the Texas Music Chart — a proud moment for the entire camp. All of it set the table for a career milestone.

With four nominations at the 2025 Josie Awards — Male Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, and EP of the Year — Under The Neon went on to take home EP of the Year, markin’ one of the biggest industry recognitions of Dusty’s journey so far. But the story doesn’t slow down there.

Dusty’s continued success on Texas radio keeps his music in heavy rotation across the very stations and dance halls that built his name — with program directors and fans showin’ up strong for every release. And through his annual Texas To You Tour, that reach keeps stretchin’ overseas — carryin’ Texas country to growing audiences throughout Ireland and the UK year after year. 

Now, with 2026 on deck, the engine’s already revvin’. Upcoming releases include the crowd-favorite anthem Feelin’ Willie Good, the late-night dance groove Drinkin’ ’Bout You, and a fresh remake of the 80’s hidden gem Love You Ain’t Seen The Last of Me — each project showcasin’ another layer of Dusty’s artistry while stayin’ rooted in the traditional country soul that fans connect with.

With new music locked, radio momentum strong, and tour miles stackin’ up on both sides of the ocean, 2026 is primed and ready to be another stellar year.
